Shalu Nijhawan’s career took a remarkable turn as she transitioned from her initial five years in the world of public banking in a small town to becoming the owner of a successful cake cafe in Bangalore. Her unwavering passion for baking became the driving force behind her thriving bakery business, which eventually expanded to include three popular outlets in Bengaluru.
However, Shalu’s journey didn’t stop there. She embarked on a transformative path, leading her to establish Plant Yum, a vegan brand operating under Kindled Foods in Bangalore. With a successful vegan tea premix in her arsenal, she has ambitious plans to expand her product line to include vegan hot chocolate and milkshake premixes.
Prior to starting Kindled Foods, Shalu Nijhawan served as the Head of Operations at SHARAN (Sanctuary for Health And Reconnection to Animals and Nature). Her journey as a Nutritional Consultant at SHARAN began after she had already been helping her family and friends reverse their diseases through food, leveraging her certification as a Holistic Nutrition and Health Coach, acquired from the American Fitness Professionals Association (AFPA).
Today, she actively strives to raise awareness about health, animal rights, veganism, and sustainability through various outreach programs. Her roles extend to conducting cooking workshops, showcasing her talent as a passionate vegan cook and cementing her identity as a Vegan Educator, Health Coach, and entrepreneur.
