Barley lentil soup recipe:

  9. Now, you have a choice: if you prefer a thicker consistency, you can use an immersion blender to partially blend the soup. Alternatively, you can use a spoon to gently mash some of the lentils and barley, creating a chunkier texture.
  10. Taste the soup to ensure the seasoning meets your preferences. Adjust by adding more salt, pepper, or turmeric if necessary.
