    Rinse red lentils until water runs clear. In a medium pot, add lentils, 3 cups water, 1/2 tsp ground turmeric, and 1 tsp salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15-18 minutes until lentils are soft and creamy.
